Volgograd - Volgograd Arena

Located by the Mamayev Kurgan war memorial and on the site of the former Central Stadium, this new build will have a capacity of about 45,000 people.  The lattice-work bowl shape is elegant and practical, taking its inspiration from a Victory Day fireworks display.  Imaginatively, the roof cables resemble the spokes of a bicycle wheel.  Popular local side FC Rotor move in after the World Cup ends.
