Visit Erdene-Zuu Monastery & Karakorum Museum
After breakfast, we journey to Karakorum, the impressive 13th-century capital of the Great Mongol Empire. Here, we'll explore the Erdene-Zuu Monastery, recognised as the first and largest monastery in all of Mongolia. Our visit to the monastery will include a tour of its various temples, each adorned with exceptional examples of captivating Buddhist Thangka paintings dating back to the 16th century. We'll also have the opportunity to discover the unique and less-visited Karakorum Museum. The day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay in a ger camp.
