Dear Traveller, |
How are your 2018 trip plans coming along? |
We've settled back into the work routine but our thoughts are, as always, on the year ahead
and especially on our travel dreams and plans.
|
Have you been thinking about taking a
trip to Russia
this year? Perhaps the cosmopolitan capital takes your fancy? You could admire the onion domes of St Basil's
Cathedral and stare up at the imposing walls of the Kremlin before retiring to one of its many cafes, bars or
restaurants. It's easily combined with that most European of Russia's cities, St Petersburg.
Will 2018 be the year you discover the charms of the
"Venice of the North"
and step inside the famous Hermitage Museum? It's particularly special during the summer phenomenon
that is the "White Nights". A high speed train connects the two more or less as closely as
Eurostar links London and Paris but for a more leisurely ride, we'd suggest a
river cruise.
|
|
For some it's the vast open space of Siberia that calls. The iconic
Trans-Siberian railway
is arguably Russia's best contender for your travel bucket list and we promise you won't be disappointed.
Stop off at Irkutsk for a side trip to beautiful Lake Baikal and have the venture of a lifetime.
If your budget will stretch a little further, then how about venturing into the exquisite wilderness that is
Kamchatka?
Littered with volcanoes and home to the world's largest geyser field after Yellowstone,
this is a part of Russia few have the privilege to see.
|
Of course, sports fans will have one event firmly fixed in their sights: the
FIFA World Cup.
The best footballing nations of the world will descend on Russia this summer for a
tournament that promises to be as thrilling as those that have gone before. You don't even
need to be a football fan to appreciate just what a special occasion this will be.
|
Whether your preference is for a
city break or a
cruise, the
train journey of a lifetime
or tickets to see England in the
World Cup,
why not let us help with your arrangements? We're taking bookings now, and all tours include visa support. Why not
give us a call
and see what we can do for you?
